Morgan Wallen Throws Fan's Phone During Pittsburgh Concert
Morgan Wallen Throws Phone at Concert

Country music singer Morgan Wallen has once again stunned concert-goers, this time by throwing a phone across the stage during a performance in Pittsburgh. The incident occurred on Friday as part of his Still the Problem tour, just a week after he made headlines for flipping a piano on stage following technical difficulties.

Phone Thrown During Performance

Footage circulating on social media shows Wallen performing while a security guard films him on a phone. At one point, the singer approaches the camera and looks into it before walking away. When he returns moments later, Wallen appears frustrated by the continued recording, snatches the phone from the security guard’s hands, and throws it across the stage.

The crowd, which had been cheering moments earlier, can be heard falling silent in shock. In footage shared by TikTok user jcroo419, the concert-goer claimed the phone actually belonged to someone named Amy. “Well that just happened,” they captioned the footage. “Amy gave her phone to the lady to hand to Morgan Wallen and he launched it. I get it, security should be doing security things but ...”

Fan Reactions

Fans labelled the footage “wild” and “arrogant”, with one TikTok user asking: “Why is he so angry?” While Wallen has not directly addressed the clip, he later posted an Instagram story explaining he had been forced to cancel his next scheduled show in Pittsburgh.

Show Cancellation Explained

The singer insisted the decision was due to bad weather and not any rumours circulating online. “This morning, my team walked on the bus and told me they had been consulting with local officials and that I should cancel my show in Pittsburgh tonight and I said, ‘Why?’” Wallen said. “They said that there was going to be strong winds in the area, and I said, ‘OK.’ So, that is what I did in that moment, and I trusted my team. I’ve been seeing a lot of nonsense about me that is simply not true, and I just wanted to clear the air.”

Previous Incident in Denver

Just a week earlier, footage circulating online appeared to show Wallen suffering an on-stage meltdown during a performance in Denver. The 33-year-old was performing his hit song Sand in My Boots when technical issues appeared to derail the show. Videos shared online showed Wallen becoming visibly frustrated while seated at a piano before abandoning the instrument and finishing the song a cappella. Moments later, he returned to the piano, shoved it across the stage, and flipped it onto its side as the crowd gasped and cheered in surprise. Despite the blow-up, the country star carried on performing more of his hits to see out the concert.
