Pop star Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have taken their relationship to the next level, making a glamorous red carpet debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
The couple attended the world premiere of Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris concert documentary on Monday, June 8, 2026, as part of the festival. Perry stunned in a white vintage Lanvin gown, while Trudeau looked dapper in a classic tuxedo for their date night.
While striking the usual poses expected of celebrity couples on the red carpet, the pair were also captured sharing affectionate glances, smiles, and intimate moments. In one particularly sweet moment, Perry and Trudeau leaned in and touched their foreheads together while sharing a laugh.
From Rumors to Romance
The Firework singer, 41, and the former world leader, 54, first sparked romance rumors in July 2025. They were spotted together in Montreal, and Trudeau even brought his teenage daughter, Ella-Grace, to Perry's Lifetimes tour stop in the Canadian city.
After a brief cooling-off period, the couple rekindled their romance and were photographed holding hands at Perry's birthday outing in Paris in October. Later that month, fans speculated that Trudeau's shark Halloween costume was a nod to the "Left Shark" dancer from Perry's 2015 Super Bowl halftime show.
Perry and Trudeau went Instagram-official in December with intimate photos from their Tokyo trip. They celebrated the holidays together and rang in the new year as a couple. In April, they were seen enjoying Justin Bieber's Coachella set together.
Blending Families
A source told Us Weekly earlier this month that Perry introduced her 5-year-old daughter, whom she shares with ex-fiance Orlando Bloom, to Trudeau's three children with his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
As the couple approaches their one-year anniversary, a source revealed to Page Six on Monday that Perry made an unexpected move after their first date last summer. "Katy ended up back at Justin's place in Montreal after their first date, and they have been inseparable ever since," the source said, adding that they prioritize time for each other despite their busy schedules.
