The State Government has released nine vacant lots at the state-of-the-art Bentley Technology Park for sale, marking a significant step in boosting Western Australia's innovation sector.

Prime Location for Innovation

The site is situated near the Perth CBD and adjacent to Curtin University, housing over 100 organisations engaged in science, engineering, and technology industries. Lot sizes range from 2028 square metres to 3309 square metres, targeting businesses involved in research and development activities, including laboratories, data centres, and education-focused operations.

Already established at the precinct are prominent organisations such as the CSIRO and the Pawsey Supercomputing Centre. The growth of the precinct will be guided by a newly prepared structure plan aimed at supporting coordinated redevelopment.

Government Support for Innovation Economy

Planning and Lands Minister John Carey said the release would help drive the State's innovation economy. "Through the release of land in Bentley Technology Park, the Cook Labor Government is actively supporting the advancement of innovation, research, and technology-driven industries," he stated. "Our government is focused on the release of more residential and commercial land to support the State's growing population and strong economy."

Science and Innovation Minister Stephen Dawson highlighted the land release's role in supporting jobs and future investment. "This land release is an exciting opportunity that builds on the Cook Labor Government's ongoing commitment to growing and improving Bentley Technology Park, as well as supporting more jobs in the innovation sector," he said. "Investing in precincts that concentrate research and innovation talent is a key part of our 10-year innovation strategy to become a renowned global hub of invention, investment, innovation and impact."

Victoria Park MLA Hannah Beazley emphasised the precinct's importance to the local community. "This land release gives more innovators a chance to establish themselves at the Park, providing more job opportunities locally and helping to grow the industries of the future," she said.
