One person was transported to hospital after a vehicle travelling on the wrong side of a major Canberra road resulted in three separate crashes on Saturday night, according to ACT Policing.

Incident details

Police reported receiving multiple calls around 10pm on Saturday, May 23, regarding a white Toyota HiLux driving against the flow of traffic in the northbound lanes of the Tuggeranong Parkway.

When emergency services arrived at the scene, they identified three collisions that had occurred between Hindmarsh Drive and Cotter Road.

Injuries and response

Paramedics assessed the vehicle occupants at the scene, and one individual was taken to hospital for further treatment.

ACT Policing is now seeking witnesses to provide information about the incident.
