An alleged drink-driver has walked away uninjured after crashing her Mazda onto the sand at an Adelaide beach.
Crash details
Police were called to the Esplanade at Aldinga beach shortly before 12.30am on Sunday after reports the car had “collided with a timber guard rail, travelled down an embankment and onto the beach.” Despite the force of the crash — including a timber post smashing into the windscreen — the 32-year-old Aldinga Beach woman was not hurt.
Blood alcohol reading
She allegedly returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.110, with police saying she blew “more than twice the legal limit.” The woman was reported for drink driving and driving without due care, and issued with a six-month instant loss of licence. The Mazda was towed from the scene.
Police are urging anyone who saw the crash to contact police.
