The audit program will examine several critical areas, including the effectiveness of procurement processes across government agencies. This follows concerns over value-for-money and potential conflicts of interest in recent contracts. Additionally, the rollout of digital services will be scrutinised to ensure they meet community needs and are delivered on time and within budget.
Climate Change and Sustainability
Another significant focus is the government's climate change response. Auditors will assess the implementation of the ACT's climate strategy, including emissions reduction targets and adaptation measures. This comes as the territory aims for net-zero emissions by 2045.
